It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilbur Elwin Fipps (Tabor City, North Carolina), who passed away on May 5, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Fipps and Kate Fipps; and his sons, Eddie and Gerald. He is survived by: his wife Ida Boswell Fipps; his children, Steven (Janice), Gayron, Katy Fipps, Robin Fipps, Myra Hilbourn (John) and Donda Perry (Robert); and his grandchildren, Stephanie Davis (Jody), Jake Fipps (Miriam), Tamara Selzer (Jacob), Jeremy Fipps, Brianna Eibest (Matt), Fran Cox, Shanna Gore (Nick), Magan Barnes (Stephen), Hunter Fipps and Jena Strickland (Jason). He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
