It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Waddell of Tabor City, North Carolina, who passed away on February 5, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vera Waddell to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her spouse Eldred Waddell (Sappy); her parents, Barney Ward and Maude Ward; her daughter Karen; and her siblings, Lonnie Ward, Lawrence Ward, Claude Ward, Ruby Ward Gore, Bernice Ward Blanton, Inez Ward and Mildred Ward Jolly.
She is survived by: her daughters, Robin Wilson (David) of Tabor City and Wendy Yount (Greg) of Asheville, NC; her grandchildren, Alec Yount (Emily) of Morganton, NC, Colin Yount of Atlanta, GA, Tanner Wilson of Tabor City and Sloane Yount of Asheville, NC.; her niece Pat Moore of Florence, SC; and her sister-in-law Katie Ward of Myrtle Beach, SC. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 in the community, the family requests that masks be worn.
