She was predeceased by: her husband Elbert H. Cox; her parents, Matthew Suggs and Beatrice Smith Suggs; her sister Iona Suggs Johns; and her daughter-in-law Vicki Hughes Cox.
She is survived by: her children, Vickie Ewing (Scott), Nolton Cox, Wayne Cox (Connie), Alvin Cox (Yolanda), Vernon Cox (Crystal) and Bettina Davidson (Griffin); and her sister Ala Sue Suggs Norris. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
