He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester A. Johnson and Bessie Mae Johnson (Fowler); and his siblings, Buck Johnson, Jackie Johnson, Doris Shelley, Jo Anne Stinson and Patsy Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa Johnson (Prince); his children, Anthony W. Johnson of Tabor City and Crystal Stubbs (Eddie) of Tabor City; his grandchildren, Elisabeth and John David Stubbs; and his siblings-in-law, Jane Johnson of Loris, Ronald Shelley of Loris, James Stinson, Augusta and Gene Dunn of Tabor City.
