He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Edwin Duncan and Retha Lola Duncan (Long); his wife Maeve Long Duncan; his granddaughter Kayla Nicole Duncan; and his siblings, Cecil Rita Duncan, Virgie Smith, Virginia Moore, Magdalene Jenkins, Alton Wayman Duncan, Charles Duncan, Jimmie Duncan and Homer Duncan.
He is survived by: his sons, Alan Duncan (Ann) of Tabor City, John Duncan of Tabor City and Greg Duncan (Wendy) of Tabor City; his grandchildren, Laura, Timothy, Rebecca, Andrew and Tanner; his great grandchildren, Peyton, Oscar, Anna, Taylor, Mallory, Lily, Owen and Isabella; and his brother Tom Duncan (Clara) of Nakina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
