He was predeceased by: his parents, McDuffie Hewett and Sally Hewett (Fowler); and his brothers, Mack, Tommy and Lonnie Hewett.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Hewett; and his children, Greg Hewett (Janet) of Nakina, Marcus Hewett (Christina) of Lodi, CA and Sheila Martin (Ricky). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
