He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Roy Buffkin and Hazel Norris Buffkin; his son Miles Marion Buffkin, Jr.; and his siblings, Billy Buffkin, Stevie Buffkin, Joe Buffkin, Jimmy Buffkin, Milton Mitchell Buffkin, Barbara Buffkin, Tammy Buffkin and Carolyn Buffkin.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Watts Buffkin; his daughter Samantha D. Phillips (James Blackwell) of Tabor City; his siblings, Larry Lane Buffkin of Reedsville, NC, Eddie Buffkin of Pittsburgh, PA, Glenn Buffkin of Tabor City, Mike Buffkin of Charlotte, NC, Donnie Buffkin of Asheboro, NC, Danny (Buffkin), Kathy Bozzo of Pittsburg, PA and Patsy Carrol of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Savannah, Storm Phillips and Alexis Blackwell; and his great grandchildren, Mileigh Stevenson, Shayden and Charlotte Mae Phillips.
