She was predeceased by: her husband Steve Small; her son Dwayne Ward; and her siblings, Edison Fowler, Eldon Fowler, Dale Fowler and Hilda Gray Nealy.
She is survived by: her sons, Timothy "Timmy" Ward (Christina) of Tabor City and Rodney Ward (Dawn) of Tabor City; her brother Danny Fowler of Tabor City; and her grandchildren, Brandon Ward, Meredith Ward, Donovan Ward, Kaitlyn Ward, Carter Ward, Joe Frank Rich II and Lewis Eugene Rich. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the New Life Baptist Church (420 New Life Church Rd, Tabor City, NC 28463). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
