She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Clinton Bennett and Clydia Eleanor Turbeville Bennett; her former husband J. C. Harrelson; and her siblings, Lana Crockett, Diane Rec, Margaret Garman, Clotel Bennett and Calvin Bennett.
She is survived by: her husband James Wade Fowler; her sons, James Derrick "Ricky" Harrelson of Wilmington, NC and Duane Clinton Harrelson of Statesville, NC; and her brother Wendell Tom Bennett of Morehead City, NC. She is also survived by three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
