She was predeceased by: her parents, Vance Hawes and Evie Reaves Hawes; her spouse Donnie Pershing Ward; and her sons, James Donnie Ward and Charles Danny Ward (Pete).
She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Long of Whiteville, NC, Shirley Price of Nakina, NC, Jane Harrelson of Whiteville, NC, Wanda Jones of Supply, NC, Tom Ward of Nakina, NC and Fred Ward of Nakina, NC; and her nieces, Cindy Davis of Ash, NC and Sherri Robeson of Ash, NC.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren.
