It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Elbert Long of Tabor City, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on June 26, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent I. B. Long,; his wife Anna Cox Long; and his siblings, I. B. Long, Jr., Clarence Long, Robert Long, Mildred Mincey, Grace Fowler and Frances Jolly.
He is survived by: his daughters, Toni Taylor (Doug) of Florence, SC, Melissa Wise (Steve) of Loris, SC and Diana Bedenbaugh (Tommy) of Gaffney, SC; and his sister Faye Fowler of Fayetteville, NC. He is also survived by six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
