He is survived by: his wife Margaret James; his sons, Patrick James, Reggie James, Jason James and Nuke Murphy; and his siblings, Wendell James, Lionel James, Jackson James, Jr. and Elizabeth Gross.
Viewing will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Westside Funeral Home (106 S Lewis St, Tabor City, NC 28463). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sandy Plain Missionary Baptist Church (354 Dothan Rd, Tabor City, NC 28463). A burial will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Columbus County Singing Union Cemetery (111 Jarvis St, Tabor City, NC 28463).
