He was predeceased by: his father Leon Brooks Spivey. He is survived by: his mother Lucille Livingston Spivey; and his sisters, Edwina Dorman (Phillip) of Green Sea, SC. and Theresa Floyd (Denny) of Green Sea, SC..

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Edward to Iron Hill Baptist Church 22247 Peacock Rd., Tabor City, NC 28463.
