He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Beck and Anna Bell Soles Beck; and his sisters, Anita Bordeaux and Mary Ann Elmore. He is survived by: his wife Leona Ward Beck; his children, Douglas Beck, Jr. (Sherry) of Whiteville, NC, Steven Beck (Tammy) of Tabor City, NC and Renee Beck Penny of Tabor City, NC; his siblings, David Beck of North Wilkesboro, NC, Kelly Beck of Greenville, NC, Lenore Taylor of Lumberton, NC and Susan Beck of Manteo, NC; his grandsons, Steven Beck, Jr. (Miranda) and Houston Penny; his great grandchildren, Kealyn Reece Beck and Sadie Rae Beck; his sister-in-law Jean Bass of Lumberton, NC; his nephew Anthony Grainger; his great-nieces, Hali Grainger and Bryana Grainger; and also Kenli Grainger.
The family has requested that all attendees wear a mask.
