She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert Lonnie Gibson and Alma Mae Autry Gibson; her daughter Wendy Jean Hewitt Davis; and her siblings, Jack Gibson of James Gibson, W. L, Buddy Gibson, Mattie Jane Feltwell and Christine Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Legrande Hewitt (Karen) of Whiteville, NC and Dean Hewitt (Bobbi) of Stokesdale, NC; her siblings, Ray Gibson of Bladenboro, NC and Eula Mae Packer of Bladenboro, NC; her close friend Sue Galloway of Whiteville, NC; her grandchildren, Kelli Greene (David) of Elizabethtown, NC and Chris Hewitt (Andrea) of Winston Salem, NC; and her great grandchildren, Parker Greene, Karlen Greene, Nell Hewitt and Hayes Hewitt. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
