He is survived by: his wife Brenda Faye Simmons Brown; his children, Brenda Lynn Hedwin (Troy) of Tabor City, NC and Darrell Brown (Julie) of Tabor City, NC; his grandchildren, Belinda Brown (Lance), Breanna Brown (David), Troy Hedwin Jr., Genia Hedwin, Xander Hedwin, Willie Brown, Jr., Kelsey Brown, Blade Eugene Brown, Bently Eugene Brown, Riley Adams, Aiden Thomas and Addison Thomas; his stepgrandchildren, Jaydn Hedwin and Kaselynn Hedwin; his great grandchildren, Aliza Haney, Andrew Haney and Aubreanna Hedwin; and his sisters, Mildred Huffster of Gastonia, NC and Patsy Brown of Gastonia, NC..
