She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlton Floyd Strickland and Ruby Jane Edwards Strickland; her husband Joshua Soles; her children, Joseph Soles and Cathy Strickland; her grandson Steven Soles; and her siblings, Paul Strickland, Nedra Hardee and Ruby Lee Watts.
She is survived by: her children, Danny Soles (Theresa) of Hope Mills, NC., Penny Hinson (Daniel) of Tabor City, NC. and Vickie Lovett (Todd) of Tabor City, NC.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, & five great-great grandchildren.
