With solemn reverence, we commemorate Shirley Jean Simpson (Sylva, North Carolina), whose life came to an end on January 29, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Parker and Frances Parker; her husband Bill Simpson; and her brother Bobby Parker. She is survived by: her children, Tommy Simpson (Susan), Beverly Stephens (Danny) and Mark Simpson; her brother Billy Parker (Ruby); her sister-in-law Sara Parker; and her friends, Terry Taylor and Sue Persons. She is also survived by 4 grandsons, 8 great grandchildren, several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
