He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Ann Cope Blanton and Thomas Posey Blanton (Ochre Hill); his siblings, Emma Lou Wilkes, Marion Parker (Charlie) and Ransom Blanton (Laverne); his son Timothy Robert; and his granddaughters, Angelica Masters, Kimberly Hobbs and Savannah Mathis.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Fisher Blanton; his daughters, Katrinka "Tinky" Barnett (Glenn), Rhonda Blanton and Linda Hobbs (Jeff); his great grandchildren, Tanner Norman (Kaitlyn), Brittany Grant (Harley), Dakota Hobbs, Lydia Norman, Lilyona Shuler, Mason Mathis, Fisher Shuler and Avery Masters; his brother Roland Blanton (Jean); and his brother-in-law Allen Wilkes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, special friends.
