He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Hawkins Hopper of Sylva, NC; his brother Reverend Richard Hopper of Spartanburg, SC.; his sons, Russell Hopper of Charleston, SC and Elliott Hopper of Murfreesboro, TN; and his grandchildren, Caroline and Mason Hopper.
