It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard A. Hooper of Sylva, North Carolina, who passed away on March 16, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard A. Hooper to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Candler and Lois Brown Hooper; and his siblings, Michael Dean Hooper, Dale Hooper and Deloise Anderson.

He is survived by: his wife Connie Hall Hooper; his children, Krista Hooper Beck (Nathan) and C. B. "Brandon" Hooper (Kim); his mother-in-law Frances Lewis Hall; his pet Karsyn; his siblings-in-law, Pam Ashe and Keith Hall; and his close friends, Jay Nix and Gregg Hildebrandt.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old Savannah Cemetery, 138 Sutton Branch Road, Sylva, NC 28779.
