With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy Ann Coward (Sylva, North Carolina), born in Masury, Ohio, who passed away on October 11, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Sage Reese and Blanche Davis Reese; her husband Orville Dillard Coward, Sr. of Sylva; and her brother Richard Reese (Dick) of Phoenix, Arizona. She is survived by: her daughter Kym Leslie Martin (Mark Martin) of High Point; her stepchildren, Orville Dillard Coward, Jr. (Carolyn) of Webster and Betsy Phillips (Herb Phillips) of Asheville; her sister-in-law Marylin Reese of Phoenix; her nephews, Dave and Keith; her niece Judy; her stepgrandchildren, Elliott Coward (Will), Lauren (Mike), Anna, Sarah, Nathaniel (Laura), Susanna Martin, Bert (Kelly) and Elizabeth Phillips; and her daughter Stacy.
In honor of Nancy's memory, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Sylva, Jackson County Public Library or an animal rescue organization of your choice.
