She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Dick Slagle and Helen Field Slagle of Sylva; the father of her children Jerry DeWeese, Sr.; her children, Jerry DeWeese (Catherine) and Lyn Parkllan (Jeff); and her grandchildren, Maggie DeWeese (Justyn), Katie McCollum (Aaron), Callan Hudson and Olivia Hudson.
She is survived by: her brothers, Phil Slagle (Judi), Tom Slagle (Gayle) and Ned Slagle; her cousins, Norma Allman and Betty Partain; and her sister-in-law Mary G. Slagle. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Sylva First United Methodist Church (77 Jackson St, Sylva, NC 28779). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (77 Jackson St, Sylva, NC 28779).
