He was predeceased by: his father Clyde H. Ray, Jr.; and his wife Dorothy Lee Pennington. He is survived by: his son Dr. Clyde Ray, IV (Gladys) of South Bend, IN; and his grandsons, William Clyde and Ambrose Hosea Ray. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
