As we bid Annie Jo farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Annie Jo is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Gibson and Maybelle Elders Gibson; her husband Chic Jones; and her son Bryan Pearson Jones. She is survived by: her sons, Steve Jones (Betty Jo) and Mark Jones (Tina); and her sister Linda Mathis (Larry). She is also survived by three grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Appalachian Funeral Services (165 Skyland Dr, Sylva, NC 28779). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
