He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his son Eric Doss of Greensboro; his granddaughter Eve Doss of Greensboro; his siblings, Jerry Doss (Sarah) of Haw River, John Doss (Nancy) of Chesterfield, VA and Ann Steele of Belmont; and his sister-in-law Beverly Doss of Mebane. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
