Michael Smith wrote a sympathy message

“I would like to express my condolences to George's family and friends. Although I never got to meet George in person, he brightened many a day for me when he served as net control on the Possum Trot Net. It was obvious how much he loved his family and spending quality time with them. He was one of the good guys and will surely be missed by many. I'm sorry for your loss, Mike Smith W7GBP”

Adriano Marcuz wrote a sympathy message

“Hello Ms. Ruby, George was a fine fellow Amateur Radio Operator and I'm sure a fine husband, cannot even imagine what you must feel at this untimely loss of your husband especially to such an evil thing as the Covid-19. Please accept my sincerest and deepest condolences for your loss and please let me know if there is anything I can do for you and family. My name is Adriano Marcuz and I knew George via supporting his efforts of the "Possum Trott Net" after Rhett George could no longer do it.”
