He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Phillips and Hildreth Phillips; and his brother Ernest Phillips, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Faye Phillips; and his sister Nancy Maready of Wilmington. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
