He is survived by: his wife Joan Waters Riggs; his son Corey Riggs (Renee) of Swansboro; his grandchildren, Evangel and Haddon Riggs; his siblings, Carolyn King of Emerald Isle, Sherrel Riggs of Swansboro, O'Neal Riggs of Morehead City, Ted Riggs of Wilmington, Gene Riggs of Newport and Travis Riggs of Hubert; and his siblings-in-law, Carl Waters, Cliff Waters and Teresa Cooper. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
