He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Guthrie and Gladys Meadows Guthrie; his wife Vicky Winters Guthrie; and his brothers, Alton and David Guthrie.
He is survived by: his sons, Jason Guthrie of Cedar Point and Jeff Guthrie of Ladson, SC; and his siblings, Austin Guthrie of Cedar Point, Faye Aman of Cedar Point and Judy Bishop of Peletier. He is also survived by wives; four grandsons.
