With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edna Wells of Swansboro, North Carolina, born in Raleigh, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 22, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Herbert Smith and Emma Alvietta Shepherd Smith; her sisters, Lib Yeargan Bright, Dorothy West Norris and Billie Wall; and her niece Wanda Wall Stephenson.
She is survived by: her children, Butch Blake, Chuck Blake and Jenny Blake Madorsky (Jordan); her stepchildren, Jimmy Wells (Todd), Leonard Wells (Joy), Edward Wells, Ervin Wells Jr. (Pat), Walter Wells (Kathy) and Melinda Guiher (Bill); her grandchildren, Heather Seidelmann (John), Carrie Falcone (Nick), Leslie McClintock (Max) and Kelly Madorsky (Taylor); her stepgrandchildren, Kristina Lewis, Christy Funderburk (Billy), Adam Wells and Cody Wells; her great grandchildren, Taylor Crowley, Ryleigh Wisdom and Paulie Falcone; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Kylie Lewis, Cameron Lewis, Dixon Funderburk and Daniel Moore.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Montlawn Funeral Home Chapel (2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
