William left this world on March 17, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Rufus Rhodes and Margaret Ellen Rhodes (Carter); and his wife Jan. He is survived by: his son William L. Rhodes (Bill); his daughter-in-law Sheri Barker of Swannanoa, NC; his son Charles B. Rhodes Sharon (Chuck Aurora); his grandchildren, Tom (Karen), Julia, Jamie, Kelly (Jake), Charlie, Justin and Katie; his great grandchild Azlynn; and his pet Hamish.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Asheville (5 Oak St, Asheville, NC 28801).
The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Swannanoa Communities Together, a Helene recovery/relief organization.
