It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Fisher (Swannanoa, North Carolina), born in Cosby, Tennessee, who passed away on April 3, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Bruce R. Layman; her husband Carl H. Fisher; her son Charles Fisher; and her brother Furman Layman. She is survived by: her parent Lola M. Layman; her children, Judy Johnston (Bobby) of West Asheville, Carla McLendon (Charles) of Asheville, Henry Fisher (Linda) of Swannanoa, Patricia Fisher of Swannanoa and Angela Wilson of Arden; her daughter-in-law Jane Fisher of Boulder, CO; and her sister Beulah Taylor of Arden. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
