He was predeceased by: his siblings, Charles Robert Rector, George Richard, Tommy Dale, Roger Glenn Moore and Adda Lee Odum; and his significant other Mary Herron.
He is survived by: his sister Marshia Karpusiewicz; and his sister-in-law Sandra Moore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
