It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip Henson of Swannanoa, North Carolina, who passed away on October 10, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Henson and Louise Henson; his wife Diane Henson; his children, Cindy Penland (Anthony) of Swannanoa, Rob Henson of Swannanoa and Brian Henson (Jennifer) of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Zac Lunsford, Kaitlin Gonzalez (Jonathan), Jarrod Penland (Cassidy), Mallory Penland, Isabelle Henson and Ivey-Grace Henson; his great grandchildren, Aniyah, Raelynn and Adrian Gonzalez; his siblings, Phyllis Ballard (David), Karol Black (Earl), Terry Henson (Stephanie) and Gary Henson; and also Louise Henson. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Phillip may be made to the American Cancer Society or Bee Tree Christian Church.
