She was predeceased by: her parents, Hosea J. Shook and Annie Aiken Shook; her husband Earl F. Waddell; her sisters-in-law, Gertrude E. Stewart (Thad W.) and Mae West (Beryl D.); and her nephews, Millard D. Shook and Beryl West, Jr. (Dean).

She is survived by: her niece Kay MacDonald (James A.) of Massachusetts; and her great-nephews, David Davis of Old Fort and Mark Davis of Hendersonville.
