She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Barnwell and Naomi Barnwell; and her husband Oliver Douthit. She is survived by: her daughters, Betty Champion (Randy) of Swannanoa, Wanda Hill (Fred) and Sandra Laster of Hendersonville; her siblings, Dorothy Hensley of Swannanoa and Donald Barnwell (Sue) of Swannanoa; and her grandchildren, Chris Champion, Leslie Champion (Anthony Nance), Renee Ball (Billy), Lynn Sibbett, Becky James (Nelson) and Michael Laster. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
