With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lois Jean Wernicke of Swannanoa, North Carolina, born in Elkhart, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 2, 2024 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lois has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Sarah Leonard Kilmer and Herbert Lee Kilmer; her siblings, Mary Weaver (Art) and Warren Kilmer (Helen); and her children, David Charles, Nancy Jean, Janet Sue, Cheryl Ann, Betty Jane and Thomas Ray. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
