He was predeceased by: his wife Magda Lewis; his parents, Ernest Lewis and Dozie Jones Lewis; and his siblings, Roy, Earl, Bill, Johnny, Troy Lewis, Susie Ledford and Clara Hess.
He is survived by: his sons, Ronnie Lewis and Ricky Lewis; his grandchildren, Chris Lewis (Anna Beth) of Black Mountain and Haley Lewis of Swannanoa; his daughter-in-law Kim Reynolds of Candler; his sister Rebecca Watkins of Cleveland, TN; and his sister-in-law Valerie Lewis of Swannanoa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
