It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence J. McDonald of Swannanoa, North Carolina, born in Stratford, Connecticut, who passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Savino and Anna Montifiore Savino; and her husband Edward F. McDonald. She is survived by: her children, Edward McDonald (Carol), Leslie Roman (Mark), Pamela Prusik (Rick) and Kathleen Gluhanich (Paul); her grandchildren, Carrie D'Amato, Ryan McDonald (Kitty), RJay (Sherrie), Brandon, Andrew Prusik (Hillary), Haley, Jessica and Ashley Gluhanich; her great grandchildren, Olivia D'Amato and Brittany Prusik; and her siblings, Michael Savino and Beverly Wydra.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mark's Catholic Church (500 Wigwam Ln, Stratford, CT 06614). A burial will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at the Union Cemetery (23 Temple Ct, Stratford, CT 06615).
