He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Dean and Agnes Dean; his former wife Josephine W. Dean; his daughters, Susan Hill and Sarah Ludwig; and his siblings, Paul Dean, Agnes Lazar, Byron Dean, Frederick Dean, Florence Clemm Schaefer and Winifred Vaughn.
He is survived by: his siblings, Allan Dean of Swannanoa, NC and Robert Dean (Nancy) of Spencerport, NY; his sons, Harold Dean, David Dean (Marcie) and Peter Dean (Be Vang); his wife Nancy Hill Dean; and his children, Elaine Grigg Dean (Alex) and Frederick Dean. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
