He is survived by: his children, David Braxton O'Neal (Denise) of Indiana, Johnna Rose Creech of Smithfield, Patricia Michelle O'Neal-Romero of Raleigh, Heather Nichole O'Neal of Durham and Danielle Kayla Broughton of Angier; and his grandchildren, William Braxton O'Neal, Candace Brooke Terrell, David Braxton O'Neal, II, Nathaniel Peyton O'Neal, Elizabeth Nicole Creech, T. C. Creech, John Stanley Creech, Jalyn Grace Walters, Julian Reece Romero, Aiden Riley Romero, Eli Xavier Broughton and River Emmett Broughton. He is also survived by 14 great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
