She was predeceased by: her father James Milton Uzzell, Jr.. She is survived by: her mother Betty Sue Harden Uzzell; her significant other Cali; her daughters, Kylie Parkhurst and Samantha Benfield (Saint); her siblings, James Milton Uzzell, II (Jenny), Ginger Webb (Joe) and Roger Uzzell (Terri); her granddaughter Oaklyn Rae Parkhurt; her nieces and nephews, Sara Uzzell (Drew), Chase Webb, James Milton Uzzell, IV, David Uzzell (Crystal) and Chandler Uzzell (Hayley); and her great-nephew James Milton Uzzell.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in honor of Dee Dee to the SECU Family Housing at UNC Chapel Hill or to UNC Cancer Center.
