He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Potter and Vonnie Robinson Potter. He is survived by: his wife Carroll Boner-Potter; his children, Rebecca Clemmons (James) of Supply, Jeff Kelly (Robin) of Supply and Sara Crisco (Marcus) of Bolivia; his grandchildren, Rachel Bessent, Dakota Foy, Alyssia Crisco, Kory Crisco, Autumn Crisco, Kayla Kelly, Chelsea Kelly and Brennan Kelly; his great grandchildren, Landon Duncan and River Smith; and his pet Sadie. He is also survived by friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, 955 Mercy Lane, Bolivia, NC 28422.
