She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Shelton and Lula E. Shelton; her husband Lewis Trent; her daughters, Karen Shepard and Cynthia Doty; and her siblings, Robert, Walter, Luther, Everette, Edna, Dora and Eunice.

She is survived by: her children, Robert Shepard, Steve Phillips, Marsha Cochran and Sharon Jarvis. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; forty two great grandchildren; eleven great, great grandchildren.
