He is survived by: his parent Clarice Collins Goodman; his siblings, Tobias Goodman and William Goodman of Raleigh; his wife Jane Eloise Brooks; his children, Mary Jane Goodman-Giddens, Eugene M. Giddens, John Michael Goodman, Jr., Victoria Risbrough and Jenny Goodman Hansen; his grandchildren, Hannah, Caroline, Elliot (Keri), Ben, Isaac, Noah Giddens, Steven, John, Luke, Gage, Carson Hansen and Dylan Risbrough Goodman; his great grandchildren, Christian Hierholzer and Caleb Hierholzer; his niece Lillian (Ron Harding); and his nephew Charles (Sherry Halterman).
