It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jo Ann Simmons (Supply, North Carolina), who passed away on March 8, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Bellamy and Iona Hewett Bellamy; her husband Jesse Oliver Simmons; her sons, Jay Gould Simmons (Jody) and Norman Jesse Simmons; her grandson Elliott Simmons; and her sister Pinta Todd.

She is survived by: her children, Hardware, Brunswick Cold Storage, Jeffrey "Jeff" Simmons (Sheila Holden) of Supply, NC, Jason Simmons Shallotte (Cindy) and Jo Anna Simmons of Statesville, NC; and her sisters, Julia Hayes of Supply, Quintina Skipper of Supply and Bonnett Fortiscue of Supply. She is also survived by five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
