He was predeceased by: his parents, George Caviness Collins and Georgia Jones Collins; his wife Virginia Collins; his brother Thomas Jerry Collins; and his stepson Jimmy Ezzell.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Brenda Hubbard (Ray) of Stedman, J. R and Joyce Shaut (Fred) of Florida; his brother Wayne Collins (Barbara) of Pilot Mountain; and his stepdaughter-in-law Doris Ezzell of Autryville. He is also survived by 10 step grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
