She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Johnson Carter and Ruby Stevens Carter; and her husband John Stanton Brown. She is survived by: her sons, Steve Brown (Joanna) of Supply and Dewayne Brown (Lisa) of Bolivia; her granddaughters, Stephanie Brown of Leland and Katie Brown of York, SC; and her sister Shirley Carter of Calabash.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be directed to Mt. Pisgah Baptist Baptist Church building fund of Gideons International.
