She is survived by: her husband Tommy Carpenter; her sons, Eric Carpenter (Kim) of Chapel Hill and Nicholas Carpenter (Kimberly) of Supply; her grandsons, Aidan Carpenter and Noah Carpenter; and her siblings, Lennon Smith (Avis) of Ash, Reverend Charlie Smith (Alice) of Ash, Danny Smith (Janice) of Ash, Caldonia Miller (Billy) of Wilmington, Lois Milliken (Terry) of Ash, Elizabeth Phillips (Lester) of Ash and Debbie Norris (William) of Shallotte.
